Tueke is an online platform where travelers with precise budget ideas and hosts with the need to reach the "sold out" meet online. Within the platform, travelers have the possibility to insert destination, price and type of accommodation desired. The accommodation facilities will contact the guests on the basis of their requests. 


Thanks to this innovation, guests can express their budget and their needs and they are chosen by the hosts that can realize those needs. 
Both the parties have advantages: customers can find the accommodation that suits them at the price they can afford and the hosts will sell their accommodation to the right guests.



ANALYSIS OF THE INNOVATION 

Dimension of Innovation:
In my opinion, this type of innovation is radical because it revolutionises the world of tourist bookings.  Traditional roles are thus reversed and the benefits are obvious to all. Hoteliers have the opportunity to avoid empty rooms by cutting the costs related to customer search. They can pay lower fees than other online intermediation services by selecting the right customer, at the right rate, at the right time.
It's new in market and I think that is a process innovation because is a new service process in which guests express their ideas and their budget and hosts select and contact them. It facilitates the meeting between travellers looking for a more convenient stay and hosts willing to trade their unsold rooms.

Background of Innovation:
This innovative idea has been realized in 2016 by Manu Tueke. 
In 2017 this idea was chosen by "Speed MI Up" , an University of Milan - Bocconi's project. 
In 2018 this innovation won a prize called "Accelerathon 2018" - by FactorYmpresa Turismo, promoted by Ministry of Culture and Tourism and managed by Invitalia. 
In Maori language Tueke means “suitcase”, “luggage”, a way to emphasize the internationality with which it is born and towards which the startup looks. 
Today the team who manages this innovation is in fact composed of three members: two persons work in the tourism and hotel sector based in Italy and a partner, resident in San Francisco, who deals with the technological aspect.
