Slow Food Travel Carinthia

Slow food experiences where created, alongside with the implementation of the slow food villages. The aim is to create unique experiences and to provide the people the opportunity to fully connect with their products they consume and to immerse oneself in local customs and habits. For example you can bake your own bread in the Lesach Valley, make butter on the Bischofalm, help the alpine dairymen make raw milk cheese or learn the history of the slow ripening of Gailtaler Speck. This experiences are bookable via the homepage of “Kärnten Werbung”. There are different prices for the diverse experiences.
·       Type of Innovation:
Product Innovation
·       The dimension of Intensity - How new?
Incremental new as there are other destinations already offering local experiences bookable through them.
·       Subjective Dimension - For whom is it new?
New for the destination
·       The dimension of Content - What is new?
Slow food experiences are bookable via the “Kärnten Werbung”.
·       Possible learnings about the innovation process (what does it need to develop an innovation like this?)
The innovation came alongside with the introduction of the slow food villages. Unique experiences are bookable to bring the guest the local life closer and show them how products are produced.
