WellCome Italia
Emilia Romagna, Italy
(www.wellcomeitalia.it)

WellCome Italia is the first platform in Italy that allows people to book guided tours and to have an experience inside the big companies of Made in Italy. Visitors can visit the production plants looking directly at all the stages of the production chain; They will become the protagonists of the tour because they will be involved in tastings, practical tests and sensory tests. At the end, if they wish, they can also buy some products in the store.
Wellcome Italy aims to enhance the quality of the Made in Italy companies, starting from the many industries based in Emilia-Romagna. They take tourists, Italians and foreigners, to see “how” a product is made, which raw materials are used and in which way it is packaged. Their goal is to open the doors of the big companies of food and wine, fashion, automotive, design and packaging, to make tourists/consumers appreciate the excellence that italians export all over the world.

ANALYSIS OF THE INNOVATION
In my opinion, this innovation is radical, because a service or an experience like this is never existed before. It's new for the company, but also for the customers who want to have such experiences.
Finally, I think it is a new product innovation

BACKGROUND OF THE INNOVATION
The innovators were Michela Rossi and Luca Manganelli, who created this start up in 2018. In the same year it has been awarded by "Accelerathon Factory Enterprise" on the theme of quality and tourism innovation.

I think that the direct contact with the products, the possibility to create and to test them, become the best vehicle to know the territory, its traditions and the way of life of the people who live and work there. The visitor can enter in the daily life of the company, identify with the workers and feel part of that excellence.
Finally, it's a great way to promote italian companies and the territory by satisfying people needs to have original experiences.
